Bantam Cochin Chick Starter Pack (8 chicks)

This starter pack consists of 8 bantam chicks from our cochin flocks! This is a great way to add some fun miniature chickens to your flock. Bantam chickens are wonderful for smaller spaces, and also just for fun. Bantam chickens are no different than full size chickens other than egg size. Our bantam birds still lay very well and behave as any other chicken! Adding these smaller bundles of feathers and fluff will definitely bring a smile to your face! 

In addition, many of our Cochins have the rare barbless feather type making them extra fluffy and extra cute.

*All sales are final. A lot of planning goes into collecting and setting eggs for pre-orders. Eggs take approximately 21 days to hatch. Once orders are placed, planning starts immediately to collect and set the eggs and get the orders sent out in a timely manner. 

SHIPPING LIVE CHICKS: Shipping is $90 flat rate for USPS express delivery. This is the cost from the post office for Express 1-2 shipping, and packaging supplies. It is expensive, but we do not set this price. THIS IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THE CHICKS!!! This $90 will be added to your cart for shipping at checkout. 

**Our chick boxes can ship up to 25 chicks. We can mix orders of Bantam Chicks together but we WILL NOT mix bantam chicks with large fowl chicks for shipping. If you want to order more than 8 chicks please contact us prior to your purchase so that we can adjust the shipping cost**

Chicks can only be shipped via USPS as day old chicks. Your local post office will call you when they arrive. Please provide your contact phone number in the comments section at checkout to add to your shipping label for the post office to contact you to pick up your chicks. Newly hatched chicks ingest the yolk before they hatch, which gives them enough nourishment to survive the shipment. We also add Gro Gel to all shipping boxes to give them a boost of nutrients inside the shipping box as well as 72 hour heat packs to keep them warm.

It is your responsibility to pick up the chicks from the post office. Sometimes when they call it will show up on caller ID as "Unknown" or "Restricted".  It is important that you mark your calendar when you place your order. We will not issue a refund if you forget to pick up your order. Please TRACK your order on USPS.com once you receive the tracking information from us. 

​We place extra chicks in each box in the event of any loss during travel. We do not re-ship chicks if there has been a loss. A new order must be placed.

Fowl Frenzy Farm offers a live chick guarantee on all chicks within the first 24 hours of arrival if ALL of the following specifications below are followed. 

1. Your box of chicks MUST be picked up from the USPS office within 2 hours of being contacted by the Post Office for pick up.
2. Photos must be provided of any deceased chicks in a photo with ALL of the other chicks shipped, and leg bands must be visible in the photos. 
3. Photos of the shipping box must be provided as well to identify any damage to the box itself.
4. You must contact Fowl Frenzy Farm within 24 hours of receiving chicks and with any photos of deceased chicks. If there is the sad, unfortunate death of a chick(s) in the box at the time of pick up from the post office, please wait the full 24 hours to contact Fowl Frenzy, so that any/all additional loses can be reported at the same time. Please wait the full 24 hours to report loses, UNLESS all chicks are lost upon receipt from the Post Office. 
5. If you do not hear the chicks chirping in the Box at the time of pick up at the Post Office, you MUST open the box on site with the USPS staff for complete documentation of deceased chicks. Take photos and start the process of filing a claim. 
6. Whenever possible, additional chicks are sent in all orders to cover the cost of chicks lost during transit or within the first 24 hours of arrival. *Extra chicks are free to the customer but are also considered "replacements" should you end up losing a chick within the first 24 hours. As a result, refunds are not issued for loss of “additional" chicks that have been sent in your order.

There are NO cancellations, changes or refunds on chicks. Payment is accepted at the time of the sale. Orders are shipped out as available (or when discussed). Because we are dealing with animals and nature, the orders will be fulfilled in the order they were placed

*Please have your brooder set up and ready for the chicks arrival PRIOR to picking up your chicks. The travel can be stressful. Chicks get cold. Having the warm brooder with food/water ready and accessible to the chicks is high priority.
